The Jacksonville Police Department has announced new test date on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Pre-employment testing registration is available starting Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Jacksonville Police Department. Registration cards must be returned by July 3rd at 5:00 p.m.


Requirements for Applicants

• Be between the ages of 21 and 34, inclusive. Exceptions as outlined by Illinois Compiled Statutes and rules of the Jacksonville Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.

• A citizen of the United States.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Possess a Valid Driver's License

• Successfully complete our hiring process, which includes the physical agility test, written examination, oral interview, psychological evaluation, physical examination and extensive background investigation.
