Crimestoppers of Morgan and Scott County was founded in March of 1985. Since the founding of our local Crimestopper chapter the following statistics have been collected:
- 2,055 Caller Identification Codes have been issued.
- 638 Cases have been solved with the assistance of Crimestoppers.
- Since 01/01/1999, 95 arrests have been made with the tips from Crimestoppers.
- $834,855.00 in drugs and merchandise, combined total, have been recovered in Morgan and Scott County.
- Crimestoppers has paid out a total of $65,185.00 in rewards for information leading to an arrest or recovery of stolen property/merchandise.
Gathering statistics is an important duty of the Crimestoppers board, which allows in promoting the Crimestopper concept and shows the impact made throughout the area. |
